Names Faces People

Names Faces People is an online journal telling stories from refugee source countries to settlement.

The goal is to humanise the refugee debate by telling stories of daily life throughout this journey. With modern day media reporting politically motivated stories we are passionate about educating people about the truths of the highs and lows of the journey to safety from across the world and give a voice to refugees.

We do this through photography, videography, artwork, interviews, poetry and any medium that tells a story.

If you want to help asylum seekers and refugees write, if you are from a refugee background and want to contribute your or friends and relatives stories, if you have editing and or IT skills drop us an email at

To ensure the safety of those telling their stories we work with contributors to ensure their safety, names are changed and faces are not shown unless safe to do so.
